Description of duties
As an Administrative Support Assistant, you will:
- Coordinate logistics for meetings and/or conferences (e.g., schedule appointments, reserving space, setting the specific, time, contacting all personnel expected to attend, etc.);
- Receive visitors and determine the nature of the visit to refer to the appropriate staff members;
- Track outgoing and incoming correspondence and documents;
- Purchase supplies, equipment, and other materials needed for office functions;
- Maintain supervisor's calendar using Microsoft Outlook or similar automated software.
Qualifications
For GS-06
In order to qualify for Administrative Support Assistant, GS-0303-6 Grade, you must meet the following:
Have one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-05 in the Federal service. Such experience includes scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings for management; performing travel and timekeeping functions; preparing and editing documents (i.e. correspondence, forms, reports, etc.); using office automation applications/software to update reports and maintain information.
For GS-07
In order to qualify for Administrative Support Assistant, GS-0303-7 Grade, you must meet the following:
Have one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-06 in the Federal service. Such experience includes receiving and routing incoming and outgoing correspondence; performing travel and timekeeping functions; preparing documents (i.e., correspondence, forms, reports, etc.) for management; and entering information into databases to track administrative activities.
