Employee Resource Group (ERG) and Affinity Group (AG) Program at FDA
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and Affinity Groups (AGs) are voluntary, employee-led organizations, that are independently organized and based on common identities, interests, gender, ethnicity, lifestyle, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, and gender identity interests or backgrounds with the goal of supporting employees by providing opportunities to network and create a more inclusive workplace. They help to build a sense of community within an organization and can serve as a resource for employees who share similar backgrounds or experiences.
The FDA Office of Equal Employment Opportunity (OEEO) supports a collaborative relationship with ERGs on matters that are beneficial to the organization’s diversity and inclusion goals, through the shared parameters and expectations.
