Justin D. Green, MBA, MDiv, Assistant Commissioner for Criminal Investigations
Justin D. Green leads a diverse workforce of more than 250 employees across six field offices nationwide and two offices across the globe by providing executive leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) criminal investigations while fostering partnerships to protect the public health.
Mr. Green assumed the role of the Assistant Commissioner for Criminal Investigations (ACCI) in January 2023. Before his appointment as the ACCI, he served as the Deputy Director of the Office of Criminal Investigations (OCI) from 2020-2023.
Mr. Green began his distinguished career with the FDA in 2008 as a special agent in OCI’s Miami Field Office. Over the years, Mr. Green has held many key leadership positions within OCI, serving as the Senior Operations Manager for OCI’s Tobacco Enforcement Program; Assistant Special Agent in Charge for OCI Headquarters Operations; and Special Agent in Charge of the Miami Field Office.
Before joining the FDA, Mr. Green began his law enforcement career in 2004 as a special agent with the Internal Revenue Service, Criminal Investigation Division in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Mr. Green holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration, both from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University, as well as a Master of Divinity from Palm Beach Atlantic University in Florida. He is a graduate of the Office of Personnel Management’s Federal Executive Institute’s Leadership for a Democratic Society Program and has earned an Executive Certificate in Public Leadership from the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education Program.
