The FDA CDER & ASCPT Annual William B. Abrams Memorial Lectureship

Goals and Objectives:

The FDA, CDER CASE and ASCPT wish to honor Dr. Abrams’ many professional contributions to ASCPT, including years of service as a distinguished clinical scientist and Society officer, in which he served as president from 1975 to 1976. CDER CASE and ASCPT jointly sponsor an educational lecture for the benefit of the drug development community and the scientific community within CDER. This lecture will be open to the interested public.

This co-sponsorship agreement will

  • Facilitate a dialog between the FDA, CDER, and the ASCPT on matters of common scientific interest,
  • Enhance scientific communication between CDER and the public on matters of scientific interest to the drug development community, and
  • Serve as a model for future collaborative educational efforts between CDER and outside scientific or professional organizations.

Who Should Attend:

The annual William B. Abrams Lectureship is intended for the regulatory review staff of FDA CDER as well as interested members of the drug development community at large. The primary target audience consists of physicians, pharmacists, scientists, nurses, and veterinarians, and interested CDER staff.
