This webinar provides an overview of the requirements and procedure for U.S. shellfish shippers to become eligible for export to the European Union. Content includes a pre-recorded demonstration of FDA's Export Listing Module, with instructions to firms for how to register in the system.
FDA and the Interstate Shellfish Sanitation Conference (ISSC) presented information on bilateral trade under FDA’s equivalence determination for bivalve molluscan shellfish food safety measures in Spain and the Netherlands. Highlights include:
- Background and scope of the equivalence determination
- Process for recognizing additional U.S. States and EU Member States
- Firm listing and export certification procedures
