Company Announcement

NutriZone, LLC of Houston, Texas is updating an incorrectly reported lot number provided in an earlier press release. Previously, NutriZone indicated the Pain Out Maeng Da lot number was 10957. The correct lot number is 10959. Consumers who have purchased the products should verify the lot number.

The recall of dietary supplements is due to the potential for contamination with Salmonella. Salmonella, is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

Healthy people infected with Salmonella should monitor themselves for some or all of the following
symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramping and fever.

Rarely, Salmonella can result in more serious ailments, including arterial infections, endocarditis, arthritis, muscle pain, eye irritation, and urinary tract symptoms. Consumers exhibiting these signs after having contact with this product should contact their healthcare providers.

The products were sold in Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Washington, Missouri, Florida, Mississippi, California and Texas.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

The potential for contamination was noted after routine sampling and testing by the FDA revealed the presence of Salmonella.

Consumers who have purchased the products listed above should discontinue use of the product and may return the unused portion to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact NutriZone, LLC  at 1-800-936-7936, Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm Central Standard time.
