The HFP Electronic Reading Room displays copies of HFP records. We are making these records publicly available either (1) proactively at our discretion or (2) because they are "frequently requested" per the Electronic Freedom of Information Act Amendments of 1996. Some records may be redacted to remove non-public information (see 21 CFR Part 20).

Note:The FDA reached a significant milestone with approval of its reorganization involving the creation of a unified Human Foods Program (HFP), adoption of a new model for its field operations, and other significant modernization efforts. The reorganization went into effect on October 1, 2024. The reorganization established the HFP by realigning the functions of the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN), the Office of Food Policy and Response (OFPR), as well as key functions from the Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA) under one program.
