OMHHE aims to enhance equitable data efforts by:

  1. Increasing research studies to support evaluation of outcomes of FDA-regulated products by demographic data including, but not limited to, ethnicity, race, age, disability and geography.
  2. Leveraging big data through research studies to advance novel data sources and artificial intelligence/machine learning options that contribute to the continued evaluation of the safety and efficacy of FDA-approved products (therapeutics, diagnostics, and vaccines) and products subject to EUAs/EUA expansion.
  3. Increasing training for scientists from diverse communities to support health equity regulatory science needs.
