There are many resources available to assist you with understanding the import process for FDA-regulated products.  Below you will find links to these resources.

  • Voluntary Qualified Importer Program (VQIP)
VQIP is a voluntary, fee-based program that allows importers to receive expedited review and importation of foods into the United States if they apply, and then achieve and maintain, a high level of control over the safety and security of their supply chains. The FDA was required to establish VQIP by the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).

  • Overview of the SUPPORT Act Provisions Related to Imports
The SUPPORT (Substance Use-Disorder Prevention that Promotes Opioid Recovery and Treatment [SUPPORT] for Patients and Communities) Act grants FDA additional import authorities that FDA believes will meaningfully advance efforts to stop illegal and unsafe drugs from being imported into the United States.

  • FEI Portal (NEW)
Look up a FDA Establishment Identifier (FEI) based on a firm name and address or validate an address of an FEI.
