Safety Champion Award

The Safety Champion Award honors individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership in enabling scientific conduct at FDA that promotes a culture of responsibility and safety. Open to anyone who goes above and beyond their duties, this award recognizes leadership, advocacy, and proactive safety initiatives in upholding safety rules, regulations, guidelines, executive orders, and scientific and safety standards. The award recipient contributes to fostering a safe and healthy work environment in laboratories and across the agency through innovative approaches, effective communication, hazard identification, risk assessments, and risk mitigations, inspiring other scientists to embrace and exercise safe and best practices.
