Warning Letters issued to tobacco retailers for violations observed during a compliance check inspection are available in the Tobacco Compliance Check Outcomes database.

Compliance check inspections of tobacco retailers occur periodically, and are conducted to determine a retail establishment’s compliance with the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C), as amended by the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act (Tobacco Control Act) and its regulations.
