Office of Global Policy and Strategy Strategic Plan Fiscal Years 2020-2024
The Office of Global Policy and Strategy's (OGPS) Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years 2020-2024 outlines the priorities and goals for our organization, which was established in March 2019. With this foundation, we will continue to leverage our resources and strengthen our programs now and into the future.
In creating the OGPS Strategic Plan, representatives from the Immediate Office and the sub-offices, Office of Communications, Evalution, and Logistics (OCEL), Office of Global Operations (OGO), and Office of Trade and Global Partnerships (OTGP), considered the mission and scope of OGPS activities. This included the following: partnership and multilateral diplomacy, foreign office operations, and trade and negotiations with global counterparts.
The final OGPS Strategic Plan identifies four complementary and connected strategic priority areas for our office:
- Organizational Excellence
- Policy Coherence
- Global Partnerships
- Information Collection and Dissemination
Each priority has an associated goal, objectives for how to fulfill those goals, and activities we plan to implement. In the coming months and years, these will be used to support the development of our operational plans and plans for assessing and evaluating our progress.
We intend our Strategic Plan to be a living document. We hope that by releasing it to you, our international stakeholders, you will gain a better understanding of the OGPS mission, strategic priorities, and functions.
