Autoclave at 121°C for 15 min. Final pH 7.2±0.2 at 25 °C

Note: Commercial Modified Buffered Peptone Water (Hardy Diagnostics CRITERIONTM; Catalog number C6351) or any other product which provides the same formulation as above may be substituted for the above formulation; Commercial Buffered Peptone Water (BPW; BD catalog number 218105) may be substituted for the above formulation by add 3.5 g of Na2HPO4 and 1.5 g of KH2PO4 to 20 g commercial BPW in 1000 ml distilled water.
