Agency Leads -- Technology Transfer Program Office

The Agency-level Technology Transfer Program Office, located within the Office of the Chief Scientist, is responsible for all patents and licensing activities for FDA. The Office's experts work closely with the Technology Transfer points of contact within each product center and the Office of Regulatory Affairs to review and approve collaborative research agreements and other agreements. These experts also work with companies who are interested in licensing and further development of FDA technologies.

FDA Product Center Points of Contact

FDA staff within the Agency's product centers are your organization’s first point of contact for all collaboration and technology transfer questions. They are available to assist in all phases of the process required to establish Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs) and Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs). They also serve as the liaison with the FDA Technology Transfer Program on patents and licensing activities and other matters related to intellectual property, collaborations, and technology transfer.
