On July 15, 2024, CDRH’s Office of Communication and Education (OCE) became the Office of Communication, Information Disclosure, Training and Education (OCITE). This organizational structure change will further strengthen CDRH’s ability to serve people in the U.S. and ensure our organization is well-positioned to carry out its public health mission. Who We Are
CDRH’s Office of Communication, Information Disclosure, Training and Education (OCITE) delivers clear, meaningful, and insights-based communication, education, and disclosures about medical devices and radiation-emitting products, trains CDRH employees for success in their roles, and engages employees to inspire connections to their work and each other.
What We Do
- Communicate the benefits and risks of medical devices and radiation-emitting products, tailoring messages and strategies to target audiences using evidence-based best practices and social science research.
- Provide industry with information and education on the regulatory and policy information they need to bring new products to market and remain in compliance with FDA laws.
- Provide CDRH employees with educational programs that support professional, technical, and leadership development.
- Coordinate internal communications to increase CDRH employee awareness of programmatic and organizational information.
- Respond to public requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
- Manage speaker requests, public meetings, and workshops for CDRH.
- Offer full-service video production, broadcasting, and webcasting services for the FDA and other federal government agencies.
